Our Program

Our recovery program includes:

Daily 12-step (outside) Meetings: A twelve-step program is a set of guiding principles outlining a course of action for recovery from addiction. The process, in part, involves the following:

o    admitting that one cannot control one’s addiction or compulsion;

o    recognizing a greater power that can give strength;

o    examining past errors with the help of a sponsor (experienced member);

o    making amends for these errors;

o    learning to live a new life with a new code of behavior;

o    helping others that suffer from the same addictions or compulsions.

Life Skills Training: to teach or reinforce the basic life skills of cooking, nutrition, healthy living, cleaning, banking, money management, computer training, job searching, and much more.

Self-Awareness (Thursday night in-house group meeting): to focus on you and your self-esteem. Self-awareness (without all the distractions) can make you more aware of the true values that you hold, and allow you to start living a life that reflects those. Key areas for self-awareness include our personality traits, personal values, habits, emotions, and the psychological needs that drive our behaviors.

Relapse Prevention (Wednesday night in-house group meeting): concentrates on helping you recognize the triggers (e.g., stress? money?) to relapse, and the tools and preventive measures that can be successful in avoiding these.
